The Founder and Perfecter of the Faith

You read of the founder of Microsoft and Apple or you read of the founder of Islam and the Mormons. Then you read of the PERFECTER and FOUNDER of our FAITH. All the others had a founder but not a PERFECTER. Why? Because they all were humans not the GOD-man. Jesus was the PERFECTER because He is the only FOUNDER who gave Himself up to make His followers PERFECT before the Father. He even rose from the dead to go and represent His followers before the Father. He pleads their case before God the Father. He FOUNDED the only true FAITH, but He also PERFECTED it by being tempted to the uttermost without sinning, by enduring the punishment of the cross on their behalf, by going through the heavens and making the path for them to have THE FAITH in the living God and Creator of the universe.

That is why Jesus is not ONLY a FOUNDER like ALL the other FAITHS, but He is the PERFECTER. He is the ONLY one who can take away sin and give a new heart so that His followers will love God with all their strength.

Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12:2)

He has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before Him, (Col 1:22)

Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. (Heb 2:17)

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Heb 4:15)

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. (Heb 7:25)
