If you don’t believe that, look at the artwork or motion graphics used to attract sales for contemporary entertainment. It reflects what the human heart craves—unspeakable violence, inconceivable horror, and unending sexual perversion.
This is so true. Movies, magazines and what make money, shows us exactly what pleases man’s heart….sex, alcohol, pubs, violence, pornography, gossip, war…..
If it was true that any person naturally desire after God, why does these things flourish and why does not more people just believe as so many churches propagate.
The Bible teach that man is a slave to sin (Rom 8:34) and cannot free himself unless the Son make him free (John 8:36). The Bible teach no one SEEK after God (Rom 3:11). No one FEAR God (Rom 3:18). Even if they know right from wrong, they hate the light (John 3:19).
This is hopeless and Jesus’ disciples recognized this after he showed them that a man cannot from his own free will choose God. They asked: “Then who can be saved?” (Luke 18:26)
Jesus answered: “What is impossible with men is possible with God” (Luke 18:27).
Jesus acknowledged that it is impossible for man to be saved from his own free will. Jesus said man love darkness in the presence of light. The light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness (John 3:19).
What is the answer?
Only the Spirit can bring life to a dead sinner (Eph 2:1-5; Col. 2:11). Only the Spirit can cause the new birth (1 Pet 1:3). Only the Father can draw dead people to Christ (John 6:44, 65). The Father gave people to Jesus to be saved, who were His before the foundation of the world (John 17:6).
