Ephesians 2:1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
Romans 3:11 None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.
Romans 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes
A human being does not need to be taught to sin. Just leave him alone and see where he end up.
If you look at the world and how depraved and sick it has become, one wonders why morality has not made a difference in humans.
Many people like to point out that humans are born with choices and can actually change his course by his own will power and choices.
If that was true, why do we have epidemics like abortion, alcohol abuse, divorce, human trafficking, money, lust and pornography (child and general).
There are so many self help programs today to solve these issues, but the increase rate of these issues are just getting more. Society is worse every year, while the human race is becoming more and more sophisticated and claim to be able to help themselves.
Many Christians claim that only Jesus can make a difference, but they teach that a person must decide for himself and then God will help him. They put so much hope in the human will which could not make any difference to humans for decades now.
Now I wonder, when will these Christians see that it is only the divine power of the Holy Spirit through the Grace of God that change a human heart FIRST to fear God and see his own helplessness and sin and then he will cry out for mercy and help.
Before this, a person is addicted to sin and self. He loves himself, he loves the world, he love the pride of life and the lust of the eyes. God does not scare him. The Bible and warnings does not move him. The preachers does not move him. The news with disasters does not make him to think.
Some do and they end up seeking God. They end up with a deep longing to get answers. The hunger and thirst for these answers and meaning in life is stronger than the desire for the world. This is the work of God. Something stronger than their own desires and unwillingness need to grip a person before he will make a concerted effort to find answers.
